The First STEM Scouts Commercial is Finished

We had a great time shooting the first STEM Scouts commercial last month, and we’re very pleased with the result. You can see both versions of the commercial (30 seconds and one minute) on our YouTube channel and on WBIR – Knoxville this month.

What was especially cool about this commercial is that we made a Rube Goldberg Machine to show how fun STEM education can be. A Rube Goldberg Machine is “a comically involved, complicated invention, laboriously contrived to perform a simple operation.” There’s even an international Rube Goldberg Machine Competition.

In the spirit of figuring out how things work, we’re putting together a behind-the-scenes video featuring interviews with the builder of the machine, the STEM Scouts Team, and the film crew. Be on the lookout for the video next month. In the meantime, check out some pictures from the commercial shoot on instagram.
