by STEM Scouts

The Circle Ten Council STEM Scouts in Dallas, TX is a sponsor of the annual Mindbender Academy, a popular weeklong STEM-focused summer camp in the Frisco Independent School District. Applications for the camp opened at 7:00 a.m. this morning, March 18, and had closed due to reaching capacity just 26 minutes later.

“In years past, the program filled up within minutes. Officials increased the program’s capacity in 2013 to to 400 students. Last year, all slots — along with a waiting list — were filled by 1:10 p.m. This summer’s program will also accept 400 students.

The camp offered by the Frisco Education Foundation in conjunction with corporate sponsors and volunteers focuses on hands-on activities in science, technology, engineering, art and math. This year’s sponsors include Raytheon, Nokia, Mary Kay, Microsoft, Texas Instruments and STEM Scouts.”
